Shipping Information
Northstar offers shipping through the following carriers:
- UPS
- FedEx
- USPS
- Spee-Dee Delivery
Orders received Monday through Friday typically ship the same business day when received by:
- 11:00 AM CST for Spee-Dee shipments
- 1:30 PM CST for UPS, FedEx, or USPS shipments
Shipping times may vary based on product availability and destination.
Limited Warranty
Northstar supports the manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
Warranty Return Requirements:
- Products must be shipped freight prepaid to Northstar
- A copy of the original sales invoice must be included
- All returns must have an approved Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
- A completed RMA Form is required

Warranty Exclusions
This limited warranty does not cover and will be void in the following cases:
- Special order items (no returns)
- Misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, or improper handling
- Physical, cosmetic, or liquid damage
- Exposure to fire, excessive moisture, flooding, or extreme temperatures
- Removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers or warranty labels
- Installation, removal, or reinstallation costs
- Acts of God
- Custom-made cable assemblies
Returning Merchandise
General Return Policy:
- Returns of good merchandise are not accepted after 30 days from the invoice date
- An RMA number is required for all returns
- All returned items must be complete and in original packaging
- Defaced or altered packaging will incur a 25% restocking fee
- Incomplete returns will be disposed of, receive no credit, and will not be returned
Upon Issuance of an RMA
Customers must:
- Properly package merchandise to prevent shipping damage
- Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the package
- Ship freight prepaid to Northstar
- Include a copy of the original invoice and completed RMA form
RMA numbers expire 30 days after issuance.
Upon receipt, merchandise will be verified and processed within 3–5 business days if no discrepancies are found.
Northstar is not responsible for products damaged during shipment.
Return Policy Details
Incorrect Orders (Customer Error)
- Incorrect orders may be returned for exchange within 3 business days
- Returns reported after 3 business days will incur a 25% restocking fee
- Returns of good merchandise are not accepted after 30 days from invoice date
Incorrect Shipments, Shortages, or Discrepancies
- Northstar will authorize returns for exchange or credit for items shipped incorrectly
- All shortages or discrepancies must be reported within 5 business days of receipt
- Northstar covers shipping costs for incorrect shipments and shortages
- Back-ordered items are excluded

Product Liability
Northstar’s maximum liability for any product sold shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.
Under no circumstances shall Northstar, its owners, officers, employees, or agents be liable for damages related to products sold.
All legal matters shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
Limitations of Liability
Northstar shall not be liable for any loss of profits or economic damages under any cause of action, including but not limited to negligence, contract, warranty, or tort claims.
Privacy Policy
Northstar uses your personal information solely to:
- Process and service your orders
- Respond to inquiries and requests
Your information is not shared, sold, or distributed to other companies.
When a portion of your order ships directly from a manufacturer, your shipping address and contact information will be provided solely for fulfillment purposes.
